I am a plant ecologist interested in biodiversity, botany, agroecology, conservation and much more. The research goals of my PhD are directed towards investigating the effects of extreme climate events and land use on ecosystem functioning and stability. We aim to get to know the dimension of droughts inducing critical species loss and the critical limits of drought resistance for differently managed semi-natural and agricultural grasslands. Furthermore, we wish to improve our understanding of grassland reorganization after drought. With this knowledge we intend to inform robust policy for the successful management of grassland biodiversity.
